The magnificent Verreaux’s Eagle Owl, thought to be the largest of Africa’s owls, has a potential wingspan of potentially 6.5 feet. It is always a gift to see an owl in the daytime, and this gorgeous hooter with his pink eyelids was truly a treat. (Even if he would not accommodate me with a better angle!)
